【摘要】 Predicting the efficiency of an oil pump before the main design stages is desirable. The tooth profile can be designed using not only theoretical approaches but also the experience and implicit knowledge of the skilled engineer. Many design factors must be considered, such as the torque efficiency, volumetric efficiency and oil leakage from the seal area. However, the factors are intricately related with each other, which makes improving the design difficult. This paper proposes a visualisation approach that uses numerical simulations to analyse the motion of a trochoid oil pump and predict its efficiency based on the geometry of the gaps between the teeth of its rotors. In the visualisation approach, the rotation and shifted motion of the rotors are considered to simulate the real pump as accurately as possible. The proposed visualisation approach was applied in numerical simulations to predict the efficiency of four rotor combinations. Experiments were performed using a real pump with the same rotor combinations as in the simulations to evaluate the prediction accuracy. The results showed that the proposed approach could be used to approximately predict and analyse some of the features of the oil pump.

【摘要】 In hydraulic systems, the flow control valve is mainly used to regulate the speed of the output node of the hydraulic motor by changing the passage space of the fluid in the valve. However, the inlet and outlet pressures of the valve do not always remain constant. Any change in pressure will change the flow rate of the fluid passing through the valve and therefore will change the speed of the hydraulic motor. Pressure compensated flow control valves are often used in hydraulic systems when precise speed control is required under varying pressures due to load variation. Since for all industrial processes where hydraulic power plants are used, the presence of a stable state of the working characteristic of the hydraulic motor is necessary, we studied the pressure-compensated flow regulating valve with the aim of building a mathematical model and after a simulation program, through which will simulate the working characteristics of the valve and by combining experimental data we can improve the characteristic of this component by changing its constructive elements.

【摘要】 The use of household cleaning robots has become increasingly popular, but automation of cleaning up fallen leaves using a blower has not been studied. In this study, we develop an autonomous mobile robot that performs cleaning up leaves with a blower mounted on the robot. We adopt a three-wheel active caster as a moving mechanism: Both the drive and steering axes of each wheel are driven by motors, enabling omnidirectional motion. The blower is fixed to the robot with a slight downward tilt. We evaluated the quantity of leaves cleaned up from a large area varying the speed of movement. We found that the faster the robot moved, the fewer leaves were cleaned up, but at least 98% at the highest speed. We also evaluated the robot's ability to collect leaves using a wall as a guide. As a result, about half of the leaves were missed because the blower was not targeted at the landing place of the flown-up leaves. It turned out that we need to study the three-dimensional behavior of the jet stream for future work.

【摘要】 The compressor transition duct transfers the air from the low-pressure compressor to the high-pressure compressor. An aircraft always experiences off-design conditions except for level flight conditions during aircraft range. So, to throw some light on the performance of transition ducts under off-design conditions, this paper presents its performance assessment numerically for uniform and swirl flow cases under varying Mach numbers (M). This analysis reveals that a higher Mach number provokes an adverse pressure gradient and non-uniformity. In the uniform flow, the non-uniformity attains a maximum value of 0.04366 near the inner wall, which indicates the presence of a highly distorted flow near the inner wall; however, its maximum value is 0.03661 near to the outer wall in the swirl flow. Also, the pressure recovery reduces with an increased Mach number. Notably, as the Mach number increasesfrom the design point, the pressure coefficient along the convex curvature significantly drops to the lowest point of -0.65015 and -0.79324 for uniform and swirl flow, respectively. Consequently, the inner wall experiences a large adverse pressure gradient (-0.90822) compared to the decreasing Mach number from the design point for the uniform flow, whereas it is experienced by the outer wall in the case of swirl flow (-0.94729).

【摘要】 Agro-commodities are most commonly dried in open air. For easy usage, low cost dryer in clear and rainy day was the need by many farmers. Present study was intended to study, fabricate and test the solar dryer for drying fruits and vegetables. A model was designed for drying chillies and potatoes by direct solar energy in line with auxiliary drying chamber. Proposed method of drying is comparatively fast and clean. Dried chilli and potatoes may be directly used. Performance analysis is carried out for the developed model, results were satisfactory.

【摘要】 Additive manufacturing has been gaining widespread diffusion in the last few years, thanks to the availability of inexpensive desktop 3D printers based on Fused Filament Forming (FFF)and Stereolytography (SLA) technologies. Both in academic and industrial contexts, this technology can efficiently support the setup of laboratory activities, significantly reducing costs and time associated with the development of experimental test benches. For example, the design and manufacturing of custom fixtures and mock-ups can be significantly sped up, taking advantage of the unprecedented flexibility of desktop additive manufacturing machines. This work summarizes the use of FFF 3D printing for the development of a test bench intended to characterize the behaviour of an electromechanical actuator for aircraft flight controls. FFF 3D printing allowed to quickly manufacture a functional prototype of the actuators' main reduction gearbox. This complex assembly is one of the most critical components of an electromechanical servosystem, as it performances, in terms of efficiency, gear ratio, and reliability, dramatically influence the overall behaviour of the actuator.
